I feel awful. My best friend of 16 years and Rowdy par extraordinaire, K, is leaving to Australia for her UG today. No more of K's unabashed honesty, in your face comments and unadulterated craziness for the next 3 years. (Apparently her coming in the summer is not too sure because she has to work there for a bit. )

I mean, when me and G went to her house to say goodbye we were all cheerful-cheerful, we even made so much fun of her, but only when we left her place did we feel so terrible. In fact, G is putting dum alone in his terrace right now, like one love-failure case.

I hate this, why am I the one who has to say goodbye all the time?

Aren't there rules to such things? They can't all leave me and go in such a short time span!

Who will I hang out with now?
Who will give me company to make fun of random people on the road?
Who's going to spur me into doing nutcase things?
Who can I safely complain to about everyone else in the planet?

Curses to all you Lalu-abandoning International UG students!

Sniffle.

I need a hug.

  13. hi lallu.. unakke over a ille? u want innovative dialogs even when you knew all i was offering was my 2 paise to make you feel betteraa? ayyo ayyo.. the youngsters of today and their expectations.. ok, heres my next iteration:-
dont worry.. i know u would like her to stay with you here and accompany you every time you go to a coffee place.. but unfortunately she prolly has her own life to think abt.. but in the period she is in australia, both she and you will realize the "true value" of friendship (its lesser than the value of a boyfriend i guess) and she gon come back from australia with tears in her eyes and everyone will live happily ever after (in the US).. neway, one thing sure, pora pokka patha, un kalyanathukku modhal pathirikai avlukku than pola irukku..
    there now.. will that do??

  14. :( I know hw this feels.. even I've been the one saying goodbye to my dear buddies :(
Have u thought how lonely she'll be there even if its just for a while?
Its sad, irritating at time when people just g away like that after becoming such important parts of our lives.. like they tear away from us.. its going to be bad. And its not even the 'time will heal' kinda thing happening here :(
I know I'm not helping but, that's because in my case its not 1.. but 3 of my closest friends who went out of India :( I feel so bad..

  30. aww.. I understand completely. I've had so many people leave that now I'm like "ok fine, atleast India's population is reducing". (yeah right!). It will get better. And friends you do crazy things with will always inspire you to do crazy things no matter how far away they are.

  31. Oh, this is one of the worst things that can happen. I've lost almost all close friends thanks to this whole parting-of-ways thingie. My closest buddy went to bloody Australia too three and a half years ago and I still mourn it. We haven't met ever since and long, regular emails just don't feel the same. I've friends who moved to the U.S., to England and to other places that I now wish to wipe off the map. At first, it does feel like sort of the end of the world... and it is, in a way. But then, if there's nothing you can do about it, the only thing to do is sit, bawl, wipe your tears and do the next best thing - worship Gmail, Skype and Gtalk and stay in touch. It won't be the same but then, you don't have much choice.

I dont buy your argument. I suggest to look out. Trust me, Being a girl, You'd end up saving more than what you do now (assuming that you save now ;)). Guys-who-are-in-relationship do pick up and drop service for his girl. what more you need. Auto expense goes out of the window right away. phew.
