I went to office today in an auto. After I had signed in the attendance, made small talk with the receptionist (apparently he was having a lot of work transferring calls) and went upstairs to the articles area to catch up on the office gossip with my seniors, I got a call from the ground floor. The absent minded monkey that I am,  I had left my lunch in the auto and the auto guy had actually returned it. I was really surprised and before I could thank him, he had left.
I like days when something nice happens unexpectedly, it makes me feel special.

"Na madras auto kaaranangalaam kettavangannu sollala. Nallavangala irundha nalla irukkumnnu solren."

Haha, good one. The original dialogue, I've heard, has become fodder for plenty of jokes. Something similar that I heard:

"Dasavathaaratila kadhai illanu sollala. Kadhai irundha nalla irukkumnu thaan solren"

Enna koduma is different league. Namma inji iduppazhagan 'pirabu' avaroda dialog delivery vechu oru mini tsunami-ye create pannitaaru.
It did wonders for his career, honestly. Chandhramukhi and bang! next thing you know he's endorsing Kalyan Jewellers.

  7. this is actually a two pronged thing for me. while all the while we complain that autos overcharge, whenever i come across an auto who asks me to pay whatever i want (it happens very rarely), i end up paying more than what i pay other guys out of kindness. so i lose anyway.

I am also thinking if the automan would have been so diligent and returned a full lunch box if it had something like meen kozhambu instead of thayir sadam?

    and nice ending.

  8. You can now use the story to prove a point to your mom (I am assuming she's the one that made the lunch): "Mom, your lunch is so bad, even the auto kaaran returned it."

Hmm, OTOH, she may refuse to cook for you after that....
